Shayla's nomination letter

Submitted by Dave Walt, Rocket Relay

Shayla (September 10, 1996 - January 25, 2010) was bought from a farmer in Niagara Falls, ON with no expectations at all other then another possible height dog for the team.

Wow did she ever go well beyond expectations. I would love to say she earned tons of points like so many other great dogs already in the Hall Of Fame and being nominated this year but that was not her purpose.

She was the height dog on Rocket Relay A and Multi team back in the late 90's and early 2000's when we were setting world records, being the first to break into the 15's, winning NAFA Championships, Great Outdoor Games, Purina Incredible Dog Challenges as well as going undefeated for years.

She set the standard for what other height dogs were compared to back then and created the Border/Border craze of that time.

We will always be so proud of what she accomplished and can not thank her enough for everything she did for us.

We would sincerely appreciate it if you would give us the honor of recognizing her wonderful career. Thanks for your time.
